Places Covered: Amritsar – Delhi – Agra –Fatehpur Sikri-Jaipur

Day 1: Arrive Jaipur

Arrive Jaipur Airport.  On arrival meet and proceed for sightseeing of the city – drive past from HawaMahal to City Palace. Part of the Palace is still occupied with the Present Rajas and their family members. Evening free to move around the colorful local markets. Night at the hotel.

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel.  Morning proceed to the outskirts of the city and visit the majestic Amer Fort which is situated on top of the hill.  It is one of the biggest forts of Jaipur and visited millions of people yearly. Later visit Albert Museum, JantarMantar and Birla Mandir. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

After breakfast travel to Agra (250 Kms / 5 Hrs.). Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikhri, the old Mughal capital still preserved in good condition.  You may also visit the nearby Masjid.  On arrival in Agra, visitTajMahal, the eternal monument built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz.  Proceed to Agra Fort, the huge red fort structure of length nearing one kilometer. Later check in at Hotel for overnight stay. (TajMahal remains closed on Fridays)

Day 4: Agra – Delhi

Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter travel to Delhi (230 Kms / 4 Hrs.).  On arrival in Delhi, enjoydrive pastPresident’s house and Parliament House. Also visit QutabMinar andHumayun’s Tomb. Night stay at Delhi Hotel.

Day 5: Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of the city visiting Red Fort – the old Mughal Administration center for 200 years built by Shah Jahan, Raj Ghat – the cremation place of Mahatma Gandhi,Indira Gandhi Musuem, India Gate & War Memorial. In the evening visit Akshardham Temple with the sound & light show.  Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 6: Delhi – Amritsar

Early morning transfer to Delhi railway-station to board train for Amritsar (#12497 Shane Punjab @ 06:40 hrs. / 14:15 Hrs.). On arrival proceed directly to Wagah boarder (35 Kms / 1 hr.) and attend the majestic closing ceremony.  Return to the city and visit Golden Temple in the night with its full illumination.  Night at the hotel.

Day 7: Amritsar – Departure

After breakfast, visit JalianWalaBagh where hundreds of people were massacred by General Dior during British period. You may also visit Durgiana Temple, a replica of the Golden Temple. Later in time departure transfer to Amritsar Airport for onward destination flight.
